First Post

It's rather sad to say this, but this is my first post for a blog. I never understood the whole blog thing, but now I do. I've found various blog sites that review books. I'm an avid reader so learning about books I would never pick up on my own broadens my reading.

With that said, I will be taking on the Read-a-thon challenge this Saturday. It's basically a challenge to read for 24 hours. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do the whole 24 hours due to having a life, but I figured that while hubby is at work I can read and blog about what I'm reading.

I have a semi-made list of books I'm going to try and read. Most of them are from my TBR pile and a few I'll be getting from the library tomorrow so I have a bit of variety. Maybe I'll find a new author I'll really like with some of these new reads.

What I have marked down from my TBR pile so far is:

Shadow Magic by Cheyenne McCray
Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian
Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur
Safe Harbor by Christine Feehan
Lover Unbound by JR Ward
The Religion by Tim Willocks
Predatory Game by Christine Feehan
One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Fire Study by Maria V Snyder
Dream Warrior by Sherrilyn Kenyon

From the library I'll be getting:

Grimspace by Ann Aguirre
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani
Light in Shadow by Jayne Ann Krentz

I know, most of these books have been out for a while, but I am a college student who has plenty of boring reading to do as well as papers to write. Saturday will be a day to sit and cozy down with my books. I know I won't read them all, but if I get bored with one I can toss it aside and pick up another one.

I will make it through my TBR pile and put reviews up on the blog. You may even see some short fiction from me and my opinions on current events posted here.

I think I can give this blogging thing a good go!

  1. Welcome to book blogging and to the Read-a-Thon! I think book blogging is a great way to keep in touch with other readers and just have a fun time talking about books. The community is awesome too.

I hope your Read-a-Thon is going well :)
